Principal’s Message

Thank you all for joining us. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Satoka Kaneko. I was born and raised in Yokohama Japan. I studied American English Literature at the University of Tsurumi in Yokohama, Japan. I currently hold a junior and senior high school teaching license in Japan. I moved to Canada in 1997 in pursuit of higher education. I studied Nutritional Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Currently, I am the owner and director of Iqra School in Manitoba. Iqra School is fully approved by the Ministry of Education in the province of Manitoba and complies with all guidelines and requirements set out by the government of Canada. Growing up in Japan and studying in Canada, I have experienced both education systems. Having visited Bangladesh multiple times, I felt the need to contribute to the children of Bangladesh in my own way. I believe that the best way to push the upcoming generation of Bangladesh one step further in a positive direction is by providing assistance and laying a solid foundation in their education. Kaneko Canadian International School is dedicated to equipping students with certified teachers, state-of-the-art learning equipment, and a safe and collaborative environment. Our goal is to provide our students with not only the best chances of educational success locally and potentially foreign, but also to preserve and promote both social and moral values. On that note, I would like to request the support of the local community. In order to push the next generation forward and secure our children’s future, it must be a collaborative effort. We would love to utilize our connections and assist our students in pursuing post-secondary education in both Canada & Japan.

Sincerely,

Satoka Kaneko
