Our Pre-KG Program builds on the foundation set in earlier years, introducing more structured learning while still encouraging exploration, creativity, and hands-on activities. We focus on holistic development to prepare children for their next educational milestones.
Key Learning Areas in Our Pre-KG Program
Mathematics
Counting forward from 1 to 20 and backward from 10 to 1 through interactive games and songs. Recognizing and creating 3D shapes like cubes, spheres, and cones using fun activities. Introduction to basic addition using everyday examples, like combining toys or counting objects. Learning to sort, group, and classify objects by size, shape, and color. Exploring patterns and sequences with beads, blocks, or nature-based materials.
Language & Literacy
Identifying, tracing, and writing letters while associating them with their sounds. Building vocabulary by introducing new words during storytime and activities. Developing listening and comprehension skills through engaging storytelling sessions. Participating in group reading activities to foster a love for books and collaborative learning. Practicing early writing skills by forming simple words and drawing story-based pictures.
Social Studies
Understanding the roles of family members, teachers, and community helpers. Learning about rules and responsibilities at home, school, and in the community. Encouraging respect for diversity by learning about different cultures, traditions, and celebrations. Building empathy and kindness through group activities and collaborative play. Introducing basic concepts of geography by identifying simple maps, landmarks, or locations.
Science
Exploring seasonal changes and how they affect plants, animals, and daily life. Conducting simple experiments, such as mixing colors or observing textures, to spark curiosity. Learning about the uses, properties, and recycling of materials like paper. Observing nature through outdoor activities like gardening or collecting leaves. Introducing the concepts of weather and how it influences our environment and daily routines.
Islamic Values
Memorizing short duas (prayers) for daily activities and understanding their meanings. Singing Islamic nasheeds (songs) to develop a connection with faith and values. Listening to short, engaging stories from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to teach lessons about kindness, honesty, and compassion. Practicing good manners, gratitude, and respect during daily activities. Participating in age-appropriate Islamic activities, like role-playing Ramadan or Eid traditions.
Safe & Inclusive Environment
Classrooms are designed with child-friendly, age-appropriate furniture and resources. Low student-to-teacher ratios to ensure personalized attention and support. A safe and secure environment with proper safety measures in place, both indoors and outdoors. Inclusive practices that respect every child’s unique abilities, background, and needs. Opportunities for children to express themselves freely in a nurturing and supportive space.
Play-Based & Creative Learning
Hands-on activities like arts and crafts to build creativity and fine motor skills. Outdoor play to promote physical health, teamwork, and coordination. Role-playing activities to encourage imagination and problem-solving. Music, dance, and movement exercises to improve rhythm, coordination, and self-expression. Collaborative games that build communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.
Parental Involvement
Regular updates on each child’s progress through newsletters, reports, and digital platforms.
