Welcome to Kaneko Canadian International School’s

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Grades 8–12 programs! Designed to inspire academic excellence and personal growth, these programs will prepare students for higher education and future careers. With a strong emphasis on advanced curriculum, leadership development, and Islamic values, our goal is to nurture well-rounded, confident, and capable individuals. These modules will include:

Key Learning Areas in Our Grade-8 Program

KCIS Technology Program

Students will have access to the KCIS Technology Program, which offers a wide range of digital tools and resources for learning.

  1. Technology Use: Students will utilize technology to access information, collaborate with peers, and showcase their learning in innovative ways.
  2. Ethical Technology Practices: Students will also learn how to use technology responsibly, ensuring they reap its benefits while developing ethical and sophisticated skills in an increasingly digital world.

Middle School Program (Grades 7–8)

Our Middle School Program is crucial for academic growth and personal development, where students will: Students will hone important academic habits, grow in confidence, and build positive relationships with both teachers and peers. With guidance from certified teachers, we will equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in high school and beyond. Students will follow an International curriculum complemented by an Islamic Studies curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience.

Arabic

Students will learn to read, write, and understand the meaning of common Arabic words. They will develop a deep appreciation for the Arabic language throughout the year.

Art

In Art class, students will:Expand their artistic abilities and express ideas through various mediums. Understand the distribution of materials, workspace organization, and appropriate tool usage. Students are encouraged to explore innovative methods to express themselves visually. Build Confidence: Art will help foster aesthetic sensitivity, perseverance, and confidence.

Dua’s

Students will learn basic Dua’s for everyday tasks. They will receive a Dua book to reinforce their knowledge, and Qur’an classes will be taught by professional teachers. Students will memorize short surahs throughout the year.

English Language Arts

Our English Language Arts program aims to: Reinforce important skills learned in previous years through literature, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama. Students will engage in activities to develop reading comprehension, vocabulary, and creative writing skills. Students will write in various forms, including journals, book reports, and diaries, with access to a diverse and growing library.

Islamic Studies

Learning about the peaceful characteristics and duties of the prophets. Understanding the significance of Wudu and tayammum. Focus on good character and morals, and how to incorporate these values into daily life.  Students will be provided with an Islamic Studies workbook to enhance learning.

Mathematics

The Mathematics program at KCIS encourages students to: Explore volume, surface area, angles, statistics, and geometric concepts like Pythagoras’s theorem. Students will develop problem-solving skills, mental math strategies, and logical thinking. Technology will be used to solve problems and deepen students’ understanding of mathematical concepts.

Physical Education

In Physical Education, students will: Develop coordination through various exercises such as running, skipping, balancing, and more. Engage in sports and activities that promote sportsmanship, cooperation, and teamwork. Educate students on safe equipment usage and the importance of healthy lifestyle choices.

Qur’an

Students will learn and memorize different surahs from the Holy Qur’an on a weekly basis. Qur’an classes will be taught by professional instructors, emphasizing proper recitation and understanding.

Science

Engage in experiments and explore key scientific concepts. The program extends beyond the standard international curriculum to provide a more comprehensive understanding of biology, chemistry, and physics. The upcoming dedicated science lab will provide hands-on experimentation to enhance students’ scientific skills.

Social Studies

Students will explore different communities across Bangladesh and beyond, examining their geography, economics, and cultures. They will learn to respect the diverse ways of life and appreciate Bangladeshi diversity.

Islamic Values

Throughout the year, students will: Reinforce the daily use of Dua’s and other Islamic principles to foster ethical behavior. Dua Book: A Dua book will be provided to help students integrate Islamic values into their day-to-day activities.
