Key Learning Areas in Our Grade-3 Program

Arabic

Reading and writing Arabic fluently with correct pronunciation. Learning common Arabic words and their meanings for practical use. Introduction to sentence structure and basic grammar rules. Incorporating Arabic songs, dialogues, and stories to enhance understanding. Reading short passages and learning Quranic vocabulary.

Art

Exploring creative mediums like painting, sketching, and crafting. Learning to manage materials and clean workspaces efficiently. Encouraging students to express unique ideas and experiment with artistic techniques. Nurturing perseverance and attention to detail through projects.Group art activities that promote teamwork and mutual respect.

Dua's

Memorization and application of common Duas for daily activities such as eating, sleeping, and traveling. Explaining the meanings of Duas to encourage heartfelt recitation. Fun activities like recitation contests and group learning. Each student receives a Dua book for reinforcement.

English Language Arts (ELA)

Fostering a love for books through independent reading and group sessions. Developing creative writing, grammar, and sentence structure skills. Enhancing critical thinking through book reports, storytelling, and discussions. Weekly practice to strengthen spelling and expand vocabulary. Class plays, speeches, and group discussions to build confidence. Students explore KCIS’s diverse library filled with age-appropriate books.

Islamic Studies

Understanding purification methods (Wudu, Tayammum) and peaceful teachings of Islam. Learning lessons from the lives of the prophets and their moral values. Emphasis on honesty, kindness, and good manners. Basic Islamic practices incorporated into daily life. Islamic Studies textbooks and workbooks provided for support.

Mathematics

Strengthening addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills. Introduction to fractions, decimals, and basic geometry. Learning to count, add, and subtract money. Reading clocks and understanding time concepts.  Real-life applications of math to enhance critical thinking. Games, puzzles, and group exercises to make math fun.

Physical Education (PE)

Activities like running, skipping, balancing, and bending to improve fitness. Enhancing motor skills, agility, and coordination. Group activities that teach cooperation and respect. Education on safe equipment usage and healthy lifestyle habits. Participation in sports day and inter-class challenges.

Qur’an

Weekly lessons focusing on tajweed and memorization of surahs. Explaining the meanings of surahs to develop a deeper connection. Classes conducted by professional and experienced Quran teachers. Encouraging Quranic recitation in daily routines.

Science

Plant growth and life cycles. Forces of attraction and repulsion (magnets). The solar system and planets. Experiments and observations to bring scientific concepts to life. Recording data, making predictions, and analyzing results. Collaborative projects to promote teamwork and problem-solving. Lessons tied to environmental and natural world awareness.

Social Studies
